Mindful Movement will start with us waking up our senses through a warm up based on Pilates principles: Breathing, Posture, Core awakening and Alignment. This movement will lead us into more fluid movement through space which is inspired and derived from Simonson Dance Technique.

With a BFA in Dance Performance from East Carolina University, Karen has been dancing for the past 36 years, teaching for the past 23 years and performing for various artists. She has also completed the Dianne Miller Pilates Teacher Education Program, the Franklin Method Teacher Training Program (Level 1), and holds certification in Hyperton-X (Level 1 & 2).

In 2004, Carolyn completed the Dianne Miller Pilates Teacher Education Program. She taught at The Pilates Centre of Toronto from 2004-2011. While in Toronto, she also trained in Myofascial Stretching and the ELDOA technique. She joined the VPC team in 2011 and has since completed the Franklin Method Teacher Training Program (Level 1), the International Teacher Training Program in Kundalini Yoga (Level 1), and has renewed her ELDOA training (Level 1, 2 & 3).
